Employer Sponsored Visa

A path to Australian Migration?

The current Australian Migration Plan is open to people of any race, ethnicity or religion.  Many people from the world over have come to call the land of Australia home with an estimated 45% of Australians born oversees or has a parent born oversees.  At present, Australian Migration is a popular option for people who want better opportunities in life. Many options have been made available for interested applicants but one of the fastest ways of applying for migration is through an Employer Sponsored Visa.EMployer Sponsored Visa

There are several ways of getting an Employer Sponsored Visa.  One option is to apply for the Temporary Business visa subclass 457, which allows the employee to work in Australia if sponsored by a qualified Australian, or oversees business entity from one year to a maximum of four years.  Another option is for an employer sponsored permanent visa under the Employer Nomination Scheme or ENS.  This visa is for temporary Australian residents or offshore applicants who are highly skilled and are willing to be sponsored by an Australian employer under the Permanent visa subclass 856 or 121 for those that are currently not living in Australia under a temporary visa.  Employer sponsored visas are said to be one of the current immigration department’s highly prioritized.  As such, processing timelines are faster than other General Skilled Migration Visa options.

Another type of Employer Sponsored Visa falls under the Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme visa subclass 119 for offshore visa applicants or 857 for those temporarily living in Australia under a temporary visa.  This employer-sponsored visa is almost similar to that of the visa subclass 856 and 121 only that this applies to employers whose businesses are actively operating in certain regional areas in Australia.  Another mandatory requirement for the employer is that the position being filled in should be available in the next two years.  Lastly, the position being filled in should be a Diploma, Australian trade, or higher qualification level.

Aside from employer-sponsored visas, there are several more visa options that you can check out if you are truly interested to migrate to Australia.  The Australian Department of Immigration makes available to interested applicants a lot of options for migration in the General Skilled Migration Stream alone. On top of that, each of the six Australian States also has their own parameters for people interested to migrate in certain states under the State Sponsored Migration Plan.

Australia is a country proud of its diverse culture and people all working and living together in peace and harmony. As of 2009, the major source countries for migration are New Zealand, the United Kingdom, India, China and the Philippines. Many more have expressed interest to migrate and in fact the past four years have shown a considerable increase in the number of migrants, which now averages around 150,000 annually.  This new multicultural Australia with its remarkable quality of life beckons to the people of world. And regardless of the type of employer-sponsored visa you may want to get into, Australia welcomes you as you find a new home and a better life.
